Stefan Sobell 10-String Cittern Bouzouki for Sale

This beautiful bouzouki can be yours! Not a raffle item, but something you can have right now!

Beautiful 10-string cittern or bouzouki by Stefan Sobell. East Indian Rosewood back, sides, and headstock overlay. Mahogany neck. Ebony fretboard. Spruce top. Ebony and bone bridge. Bone nut. Gold Schaller tuners. Baggs saddle transducer in the bridge with strap pin output. Tuned DADAD or DADAE or DGDAE or DGDAD. Also could be strung lighter and tuned higher GDGDG or GDADG perhaps. This remarkable instrument was recently donated to the ZoukFest World Music Camp in New Mexico by a kind donor who just never took to the ten strings (he’s much more of a four course fellow), so it’s hardly been played. This is a chance to get one of Stefan’s instruments without the wait (he’s currently not taking orders for mando family instruments). According to his most recent price list, this instrument would cost over $8300 at today’s exchange rate, but we’re going to let this one go for the best offer over $6500! Keep in mind that this will go to a good cause, namely ZoukFest 2010!
