Andy Irvine at ZoukFest 2008, June 8-14th

Andy IrvineWe are very pleased to announce that Andy Irvine will be on staff at ZoukFest 2008 next June at the College of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Since his early days with Sweeney’s Men in the 1960s to Planxty, Patrick Street, and Mozaik, Andy has been at the forefront of the revival of Irish traditional music. His virtuosity on the mandolin, mandola and bouzouki, as well as his unique approach to arranging, have made him one of the most influential musicians of his generation. ROUND TWO of our Instrument Raffle for 2007: One ticket, two more chances to win!

The first two ZoukFest 2007 raffle instruments (Herb Taylor flattop bouzouki & G.D. Armstrong resophonic bouzouki) are with their lucky winning owners, but now you have a chance to win two more custom beauties. Only 100 tickets at $40 each will be sold. Drawings will be double blind — after a winning ticket is drawn from the pool of 100 raffle tickets, a lot will be drawn to determine which of the instruments is awarded.
