When & Where

Mark your calendars! ZoukFest 2008 will take place at the College of Santa Fe in Santa Fe, New Mexico, June 8-14th, 2008. Here’s what to expect:

The days are filled with classes taught by our talented instructors. Evenings feature these same instructors in a relaxed performance setting as well as late night sessions and gatherings. There are many options for attendance at ZoukFest from staying on campus to attending one class only throughout the week. We do encourage everyone to take full advantage of everything ZoukFest has to offer by participating as much as possible. ZoukFest offers a unique musical community to everyone in attendance but particularly to those who are able to attend the entire week.

Transportation to and from Albuquerque

Santa Fe is located in Northern New Mexico about an hour’s drive north of Albuquerque, the state’s largest city and major air gateway. The Albuquerque International Sunport, as the airport is officially known, is serviced by all of the major U.S. airlines. Flying into Albuquerque and renting a car is one way to get to Santa Fe, but shuttle service is also convenient and available from the Albuquerque airport.

There are several shuttles from the Albuquerque airport. These shuttles will pick you up at the airport and drop you off at the College of Santa Fe. You may arrange for a round-trip, arriving on Sunday June 8th and returning you to the airport on Saturday June 14th or Sunday June 15th (if you are staying over). Travel time is one hour approximately. Please check out these websites for pricing, schedules and reservations: Sandia Shuttle and Santa Fe Shuttle.

Continuing Education Credit

3 CEUs (Continuing Education Credits) in World Music Performance Studies are offered through the College of Santa Fe’s Contemporary Music Program for an additional Continuing Education tuition of $150. To register, please contact Steven Paxton at spaxton@csf.edu.
