After a successful Albuquerque debut in 2009, Zoukfest returns for the full week-long camp from June 6-12 with a full week of classes on a wide variety of instruments and styles from around the world. Expert instruction on bodhran, bouzouki, Irish flute, fiddle, mandolin and voice are just a few examples. There are 25 workshops each day with a dozen master musicians. We are once again hosting Zoukfest closing concerts with a chance to see all the instructors in action. Last year’s show sold out and this year we have expanded it to two days, which we will definitely need, as we have some really amazing Irish headliners—Andy Irvine and Martin Hayes. Friday night will feature Balkan (Paddy and Moira), Old Time (Doug), Bluegrass (Steve) and Balkan/Celtic (Stanley) music, while Saturday will be lean more heavily towards Irish, with a few twists thrown in too.
